Wedding in Ktima Laas, Athens Greece | Eleni & Spiros
Ktima Laas is a stunning venue in Paiania, an eastern suburb of the city of Athens. Spread over many hectares of lush greenery and with sweeping views of the Evian Gulf, it is a brilliant choice for a wedding location that allows the beautiful natural landscape to be the protagonist. Ktima Laas is made with natural stone and wood from Agio Oros, combining modern elements with traditional touches in what the owner refers to as an eclectic “shabby chic” style. But those aren’t the only reasons why the venue appealed to Eleni and Spiros. Ktima Laas promotes a sustainable way of life, which is very important for the couple who wanted to hold an “eco-friendly” wedding that aligned with their values. The wedding invites were made using ecological material, while the favors for their guests uniquely included succulents to be replanted. The wedding also took place in the daytime, in order for the guests to enjoy the beautiful views the venue has to offer . The leftover food from the reception was donated to people in need. Other original touches included a globe instead of a notebook for the guests to write their wishes on – a piece which will decorate Eleni and Spiros’ house for many years to come, reminding them of their special day. The bride and groom also wanted to show their appreciation for the older generations of their families, which they did by displaying wedding photos of their grandparents and using the bride’s grandmother’s embroidery as a tablecloth for the reception table. While Eleni had not managed to celebrate her engagement to Spiros when he proposed while she was ill with the flu on a holiday cruise, she more than made up for it on the couple’s wedding day! Old and young generations came together for the lively celebrations, creating an incredible vibe of positive energy and unforgettable memories.
